I’m sorry I have not been able to get chapter 2 started, but rest assure it is in the works. I’ve been away from the drawing board because I have been doing more web design work and it has kept me from working on the story. I have some rough scripts on my table and some silly doodles in the margins yelling at me to work on them. I have to gently remind them that I need to pay my bills so the paying work gets my attention first (yes I am a cruel task master aren’t I!).
Anyway I just wanted to let everyone know that chapter two is on its way and apologize for the time between updates. Thanks again for stoping by to my small corner of the web
Well, amazingly enough we have reached the end of Chapter One. I have been looking forward to this for some time, mostly because we get to explore we multiverse a bit more but also because it is milestone for the story. I have a lot of plans rolling around in my head for our characters and the next chapter (hopefully) will be a pretty interesting one. Thank you great and anonymous web comic readers, for visiting this story. I hope you like this tale as much as I enjoy spinning it, and decide to stick around for the long haul.
As always I appreciate any comments good or bad, and if you want to get updates as to when new panels are uploaded please “like” the History of Odd Facebook page.
I’m really swamped with schoolwork right now, so I have had very little time to work on History of Odd, I have the bluelines all set to be inked on my desktop…but I’ve just been swamped with work in this class I’m taking (Intro to Programming). I’ve had to devote the time I normally set aside for drawing to readings and classwork in order to keep up ( mostly its the reading that is taking all my time ). Rest assure I will update the story ….it just might not be as frequently as normal until I finish this class.
It’s my birthday this week so I decided to take the week off from History of Odd. The story will return next week end so stay tuned!
I thought I’d post a few pictures of my cramped little studio space. For those that are curious I work on an Intuos 3 Wacom tablet using Manga Studio 4 and Photoshop CS4 to develop my comics. I’m a huge fan of Manga Studio after having drawn comics for years using Corel Painter. I love both programs but for drawing comics, nothing beats Manga Studio. The pen tool alone is worth the cost of the software :]
The image on the screen is the blueline rough of September 4rth’s strip. It’s hard to see in the photos but the two box sets I have to the right of my monitor are the first Chronicles of Thomas Covenant: The Unbeliever and Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. I’m a huge fan of the the Thomas Covenant books having read them in high school. I’ve read the three trilogies twice and I expect I’ll read them again later on. I’m currently reading through the LotR books for the first time, I’m mid way into “The Two Towers”, I’m really enjoying the books. I have to say though, they are so different from the movies. Whole portions of the book are just not in the movie. It’s been fun discovering all the missing parts however, I find watching the movies is a wholly different experience now!
But enough of my babbling, here’s my set up! It’s modest but it get’s the job done :]
